sam + tony | warrenton, va

i think one of the expected factors of being in the military, is knowing you’ll likely never belong to one place forever. you’ll have bits and pieces of your life scattered in all these places that you travel. sam and tony’s journey is just beginning. quickly after joining our family, as the kids nanny, she learned tony had been accepted into a navy program. this program sent him to new york for several weeks while he attended an officer candidate school. it didn’t take long for her (or us) to learn that a part of her was missing. but life goes on and she adjusted as best she could and quickly became a part of our family. as quickly as he had left it was time for him to graduate, and even more quickly after that he received orders of his first station assignment in charleston, sc. tony asked sam to accompany him, and as sad as we all were to have her leave we completely understood. i was happy to take some pictures for them the week before the big move. and although i know we as a family, and her as some part of it, were sad to go our separate ways there will always be a bit of her with us and memories of the kids with her.

i wish you two the best, and know our paths will cross again at some point (after all, your baby sister now joined us)
