Just like I promised on Wednesday, today I’m sharing all of the details behind Wendy and David’s wedding day! These two officially tied the knot on April 22, 2017 at Fauquier Springs Country Club, and I loved their intimate wedding day just as much as their engagement session.
During a time of year when it can be truly beautiful outside, W+D were presented with chilly temperatures and rain. But, just like they did before, they smiled through it all. I love when couples are simply so happy to be married (and together!) that the weather throughout the day does not change their spirits one bit.
Each of their days began with time spent getting ready at the country club. Taylor was by her mom’s side as always, and I think Wendy looks simply stunning in each and every one of the photos I captured while she was enjoying a relaxed morning with her family. Plus, I cannot tell you how sweet David’s mom is. She was so happy for him, and I love the moment I captured just after she put the final touches on his look.
Their ceremony included exchanges between the bride and groom, but Wendy and David also took special care to include Taylor as much as possible. She was presented with a referee t-shirt, plus David gifted her with a beautiful necklace I know will always be special to her. Post ceremony, we did have a break in the rain for one of my favorite portrait sessions to date!
Pom-poms hung from the ceiling, blush florals were used throughout the space, cupcakes and a groom’s cake were present, plus I love the s’mores bar and kids’ table Wendy thoughtfully planned! These two spent all of their reception smiling, laughing, toasting, dancing, and thoroughly enjoying the presence of their family and friends. What could be better?
Wendy and David, I’m still so excited for you, and I’m so honored you chose me to document your engagement session and wedding day. Congratulations again!
