Happy Wedding Wednesday! One of my favorite ways to get to know a couple is to learn how they met. Leah and Shawn met through work, and it was a true incident of fate! They were paired together for part of Leah’s work training, and it was as if the stars aligned because that’s when and where their love story began.
Leah and Shawn’s wedding was my last wedding of the year, and it was so intimate. They had about 50 guests, and it was so great to see how easy it was for the couple to take time to meet, greet, and dance with all of their guests.
Just after the ceremony, we couldn’t have had a more perfect backdrop for portraits. Leah really wanted to capture the fall colors, and Fauquier Springs Country Club did not disappoint! We had the most lovely light and the most beautiful fall colors. Most of my favorite portraits are the in between shots because these two just kept smiling and loving one another. You can understand why I could not stop taking pictures, and I could have easily photographed Leah and Shawn for another hour!
As you will see in all of their pictures, Leah and Shawn’s love is effortless. They not only adore one another, but their families and friends adore them too. From the first dance to the father/daughter and mother/son dances, the toasts to the moments filled with family and friends on the dance floor, it was so hard for me to keep my own eyes dry. They are so clearly loved, and they love just as openly.
I know how important it is for couples to hire and trust a wedding photographer, and Leah’s sister is a talented photographer herself. She obviously needed to be a part of the celebration, and I’m so grateful Leah and Shawn placed their trust in me. Leah and Shawn, I’m so thankful for you both for allowing me to capture you on the prettiest day we could ever hope for. Congratulations!
